Such a beautiful city! „Window to the West”–interesting history! 5,000 people in one Church! WOW! Thank you for sharing this with us! I live in the southern part of Wisconsin, west of Lake Michigan and 7 hours of driving below Lake Superior, which is below the Ontario Province of Canada. We have fields, lakes, rolling hills, and forests in this area of the state.

I’ve been there twice, crossed the border from Serbia. My first visit was scary. It was during the rein of Ceausescu. The second visit was immediately following the revolution. The atmosphere was drastically changed, from fear to confusion and disbelief to elation. It was amazing to witness this period of history.

Thanks for your comment. I am sorry, you visited Romania in moments that were not the happiest. We Romanians admire Serbia and often make a halt on your land to know your country, your present and your past, and we admire your culture and your art. Maybe you make a new visit in Romania. Now, after a quarter of a century, from the second visit, many things changed into better. You will forget that you was dominated by some negative feelings. You will be delighted.

Buna ziua !
In scoala generala si-n liceul militar, am invatat doar RUSA si FRANCEZA asa ca,
Multumesc pentru postare !
Un sfarsit de VARA cat mai placut si-o TOAMNA frumoasa si bogata nu numai in recolte agricole dar si in creatii literare ! 🙂
Cu permisiunea Domniei Tale, voi duce TIMISOARA si in casa-mi virtuala ( blogul personal ) ! 🙂
Cu stima si respect,
Aliosa.
